The London and St Thomas Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce that the recipients of this year's LSTAR Scholarship are Morgan Austin, the granddaughter of LSTAR Member Peter Christensen, Laura McFalls, the daughter of LSTAR Member Jeff McFalls, Benjamen Stafl, the grandson of LSTAR Member Yvonne Collyer, and Kale Waram, the grandson of LSTAR Members Mike and Lynn Brady.
This scholarship is intended to recognize two university or college-bound males and two university or college bound females in their last year of high school who have demonstrated academic excellence, a high level of involvement in school and/or the community, maturity and responsibility, initiative and/or strength of character and to promote their higher education through a bursary of $1,500 each. Eligible applicants must be either the children or grandchildren of an LSTAR member or staff. The final recommendation was made by LSTAR's Scholarship Advisory Group, chaired by Mark Mohan and comprised of the following REALTOR® Members: Carrol Belanger, Michelle Orsini, Daniela Schmidt and Dan Polakovic.
MORGAN AUSTIN, a graduate of Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School, will be attending the University of Waterloo for Mechanical Engineering. Her goal is to earn her Masters of Engineering degree.
LAURA MCFALLS, a graduate of Medway High School, will be attending Western University in Medical Sciences. Her goal is to attain her PhD in biochemistry and to become a research scientist.
BENJAMIN STAFL is a graduate of North Toronto Collegiate Institute; he will be attending Queens University for Engineering with a goal of attaining a Masters of Business Administration.
KALE WARAM is a graduate of West Elgin Secondary School; he will be attending Lakehead University to study Chemistry. His goal is a Doctorate in Pharmacy.
