local REALTORs® elect new board of directors

On November 27, 2014 the Members of the London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS^® (LSTAR) elected a new Board of Directors. LSTAR is one of Canada's fifteen largest real estate associations, representing 1,550 REALTORS^® working in Middlesex and Elgin Counties, a trading area of 500,000 residents.

The new Executive will be comprised of 2015 President Carl Vandergoot, Past-President Jim Holody, President-Elect Stacey Evoy and Vice-President Jim Smith.

Earl Taylor will continue to serve as St. Thomas Director along with returning Directors Heather Arnott, Dan Grantham, Peter Meyer, and Jeff Nethercott.

As the incoming Chair of LSTAR's Regional Commercial Council, Jack Lane, himself a previous LSTAR President, returns to the Directors' table in 2015, joining new Directors Norm Chesterfield, Randy Pawlowski and Lindsay Reid.

We would like to acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples in whose traditional territory we work and live: the Anishinabek; the Haudenosaunee; and the Lunaapeew. The three distinct First Nations communities within the Middlesex-London area are: Chippewas of the Thames First Nation; Oneida Nation of the Thames; and Munsee-Delaware Nation. We acknowledge the many longstanding treaty relationships between Indigenous Nations and Canada – including the London Township Purchase of 1796 between the Anishinabek and the Crown. This territory is now home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples.
Each of us must honour these relationships, and we all have a responsibility to reconcile.
