The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® held its 2012 Annual General Meeting yesterday, April 23, 2013, at the London Convention Centre.
Representing the Canadian Real Estate Association were its 2013 President Laura Leyser, Gerry Weir, Regional Director and Mike Carson, Director-at-large. Representing the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) were its President-Elect Costa Poulopoulos and Western Area Director Anna Vozza. The Real Estate Council of Ontario was represented by Tom Wright, President/CEO, Joe Richer, Registrar, and Peter Hoffman, Director, while Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation was represented by Joelle Jackson, Judy Binder and Sue Dinchick.
Other special guests included Paul King, Ford Keast, Chartered Accountant, the London Home Builders Association's President Toby Stollee and its Executive Officer Lois Langdon, and the London Property Management Association's 1st Vice-President Emma Sims, and Administrator Brenda Davidson.
LSTAR Bonspiel Committee Chair Glen Gordon was on hand to present Mission Services of London's Director of Fundraising, Ericka Ayala Ronson, with a cheque for $13,180. Including this cheque, the total raised by LSTAR for Mission Services since 1992 stands at $283,686.
This presentation was followed by the one of Andrew Wilkie, Chair of the Association's Christmas Gala Committee, who presented a cheque for $20,562.47 - raised by last year's Gala - to the Unity Project's President, Silvia Langer and its General Manager Chuck Lazenby. To date, including REALTORS Care® Grants, LSTAR has donated $106,671.67 to the Unity Project.
A special presentation was made to Betty Doré, LSTAR's Executive Vice-President, in recognition of her thirty-five years of service to the Association.
Before the Annual General Meeting, the Association has published its Annual General Report for 2012.
