A new special event organized by LSTAR and sponsored by Dalmar Motors has raised over $3,000 for Youth Opportunities Unlimited – the REALTORS® Kool Wheels Charity Bike and Auto Show, which took place on June 22, 2013. LSTAR President-Elect and Kool Wheels Chair Jim Holody was on hand to present YOU's Executive Director Steve Cordes and YOU Board Member and fellow REALTOR® Dan Grantham with a cheque in the amount of $3,149.23.
Among the entrants were a 1995 Rolls Royce, an H-3 Hummer, a 2001 Smith Custom Bike, a 2005 Ultima Chopper and a Western Engineering Solar Car. Breakfast and lunch were available onsite from Youth Opportunities Unlimited's Cornerstone Café.
“It was a great day for a great cause,” said Doug Pedlar, LSTAR President. “YOU is performing a vital function in our community – making sure troubled kids don't fall through the cracks, but are able to go on and realize their full potential.”
“This was the first annual Kool Wheels event,” adds Jim Holody. “So if you have a vehicle you'd like to show off, or you just like to look, check us out next year. The more, the merrier ... and the more for our great beneficiary.”
