London, ON – The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced 2017 marked a historic year for residential real estate, with home sales surpassing 10,000 for the first time since LSTAR began tracking data in 1978. In 2017, a total of 10,091 homes were sold, up 8.0% from 2016.

London, ON – The London St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced it has presented nearly $40,000 to five local organizations, as part of its community investment program. Geha bestowed cheques of $5,000 to Meals on Wheels London, $3,625 to Investing in Children, $25,000 to London Health Sciences Foundation, $5,000 to Hockey Helps the Homeless and $500 to Christmas Care St. Thomas.

The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced 637 homes exchanged hands last month, down 13.6% from the same time a year ago. Meanwhile, year-to-date sales are up 9.1%, with a total of 10,790 homes sold, marking 2017 as the year with the highest number of residential sales since LSTAR began tracking data in 1978, with one more month to go.
