The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced that 1,050 homes were sold last month in its jurisdiction, 1.3% less units than in June 2018 and 9.6% less than in May 2019. During the same period, there were 1,463 new listings in our area, 0.9% less than a year ago, but the inventory increased slightly over June 2018.

London and St Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced 1,146 homes exchanged hands last month in its jurisdiction, 1% less than in May 2018 and 26% down from May 2017, which was a record-setting month – with 1,549 homes sold. The number of active listings for the same area sat at 1,855 in May, with most LSTAR regions seeing year-over-year increases, with the exception of London East and St. Thomas, where this number decreased.

Led by LSTAR, a delegation of southwestern Ontario business, government and community leaders embarked on a trade mission to Toledo, Ohio, to engage with top-level leadership and change makers, discussing opportunities and issues facing the Great Lakes region. The visit took place at various locations across Toledo on April 25 and 26, 2019.

London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced 1,055 homes* were sold in April, up 7.7% over April 2018. It was the fourth consecutive month to post gains over sales from the previous year, with the number of home resales above the 10-year average.

Two months into 2019, there have been 1,128 home resales, up 10.8% compared to the same time last year.

The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) announced it has presented $76,000 to nine local organizations, as part of its community engagement program. LSTAR 2018 President Jeff Nethercott and LSTAR CEO John S. Geha bestowed the grant awards to the organizations over the last two months.

The London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® (LSTAR) Board of Directors is pleased to announce St. Thomas REALTOR® Earl Taylor will serve as its President in 2019. Taylor is the Broker/Manager of Coldwell Banker at Success Realty in St. Thomas, and he has been a REALTOR® with LSTAR since 1993.
